Mail Configurations

On performing operations like creating user, activating user, deleting user, a mail will be sent to users when the SMTP is configured.

Site admin can modify the content of these mail configurations when needed.

Developer Mail Settings

On navigating to Configuration > People > Account Settings, the default mail configuration can be found.

  • Welcome (new user created by administrator): This section contains email configuration for welcome e-mail messages sent to user accounts when an an account is created by an administrator. 
  • Welcome (awaiting approval): This section contains email configuration for welcome e-mail messages sent to new members upon registering, when administrative approval is required .
  • Admin(user awaiting approval): This section contains email configurations for notifying the site administrator that there are new members awaiting administrative approval. 
  • Welcome(no approval required): This section contains email configuration for welcome e-mail messages sent to new members upon registering, when no administrator approval is required. 
  • Account activation: This section contains email configurations for messages sent to users upon account activation (when an administrator activates an account of a user who has already registered, on a site where administrative approval is required) 
  • Account blocked: This section contains email configurations for messages sent to users when their accounts are blocked 
  • Account cancellation confirmation: This section contains email configurations for messages sent to users when they attempt to cancel their accounts. 
  • Account cancelled: This section contains email configurations for messages sent to users when their accounts are canceled 
  • Password recovery: This section contains email configurations for messages sent to users who request a new password. 

Organization Mail Settings

Navigate to Organizations > Settings to view Organization Mail Settings  

This section has mail configurations which is used while sending mails to the users/administrators when specific action is performed at organization level

User mail configuration

This section holds the mail configuration of organization users.

  • Welcome (new user created): This section contains configuration for welcome emails sent to new members created by an organization administrator.
  • Welcome(awaiting approval): This section contains configuration for welcome emails sent to new members upon registering, organization administrator approval required.
  • User approved by organization admin: This section contains configuration of account approval emails sent to members of an organization.
  • User blocked by organization admin: This section contains configuration for account block emails sent to members of an organization.
  • User role changed by organization admin: This section contains configuration for the account role change emails sent to members of an organization.
  • User cancellation confirmation: This section contains configuration for the e-mail sent to organization users when they attempt to cancel their accounts.
  • User cancelled: This section contains configuration for the e-mail sent to users when their account is cancelled.

Organization admin Mail Configuration

Organization admin will receive notifications when these operations are performed.

  • Organization created: This section contains configuration for the organization creation emails sent to the organization admin account.
  • Organization details changed: This section contains configuration for the organization details change emails sent to the organization administrator.
  • Organization deleted: Configuration for the organization deletion emails sent to organization administrator.
  • Organization administrator created: This section contains configuration for the email notifying the organization administrator that their account is created.
  • User created: This section contains configuration for the email notifying the organization administrator that a new member account has been created.
  • User awaiting approval: This section contains configuration for the email notifying the organization administrator that there are new members awaiting administrative approval.
  • User activated: This section contains configuration for the email notifying the organization administrator that a user account is activated.
  • User blocked: This section contains configuration for the email notifying the organization administrator that a user account is blocked
  • User role changed: This section contains configuration for the email notifying the organization administrator that a user account roles has been changed
  • User cancelled: This section contains configuration for the email notifying the organization administrator that a user account is canceled.

Parent Organization Admin Mail Configuration

  • Suborganization created: This section contains configuration for the organization creation emails sent to the organization administrator.
  • Suborganization details changed: This section contains configuration for the organization details change emails sent to parent organization administrator.
  • Suborganization deleted: This section contains configuration for the organization deletion emails sent to the parent organization administrator.

Site Admin Mail Configuration

  • Organization created: This section contains configuration for the organization creation emails sent to the site administrator.
  • Organization details changed: This section contains configuration for the organization details change emails sent to the site administrator.
  • Organization deleted: This section contains configuration for the organization deletion emails sent to the site administrator.
