To create a copy of a project to work on while keeping the present version intact, upgrade the current version and start working on the upgraded version.
To create a new version of a particular project, perform the following actions:

In the API Projects panel, select the project that needs to be copied and click the Save icon.

In the Dialog box that appears, Provide an ID, a logical version number (for example, provide 1.1 or 2.0 if the present version is 1.0) and a context path, and then click OK to create a new version of the copied project.
The new version of the copied project gets added to the API Projects screen.
