API End to End Visibility

A very basic requirement of any API Management product is tracking of requests across the system. Users should be able to check all changes that happen on the request and response to understand if the process meets the requirements. There are two ways of doing this in Fiorano API Management.

API Debugging

Fiorano has a debugging feature in-built into the dashboard, from where users can put an API in debug mode and check the step-by-step movement of request to understand what is happening to the request while it moves through the various stages of processing and comes back as a response. Debugging API Project tells us how to configure and use this feature effectively and conclusively for a specific API Project.

API Trace View

Fiorano also has another feature which is the API Trace View, Trace View tells us how to configure and enable trace for API Projects. When trace is enabled in the API Project, the whole flow of the request-response is recorded and each change in request and response then gets written to a database for future reference. This helps the user to check the functioning of the API and also see what change is done at each level of processing on an actual flow request.
