API Cataloging
Multiple API projects can be bundled together to make them available for developers in an easy and effective manner. In Fiorano API management, these bundles are called API products.
Developers can subscribe to each of these API products individually and generate authentication tokens to interact securely with the APIs.
These API products help in monetizing the APIs as well.
Catalog in Developer Portal
In Developer Portal, each product as a catalog, lists its APIs.
API Products section provides ways for developers to search for different API products based on product details such as description. The developer can check different APIs bundled as part of the product and add them to the subscription created.
After creating the account in the Developer Portal, a developer can register for the APIs and get the consumer key and consumer secret.
Applications section will have the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret generated for the respective product.
Thus, the product catalog allows organizations to easily build a catalog of their APIs to provide visibility to those APIs for application development.
